Abstract (en)
The mould comprises a hollow metallic frame (3) containing moulding sand (5) delimiting the impression (6, 6') of the piece and at least one cooler (10) made of a metallic material arranged in the moulding sand (5) and flush with the surface of the impression (6, 6') over a part of this impression corresponding to the hardened zone of the piece. The cooler (10) is integral with the frame (3). Preferably, the cooler (10) is removably fixed on the frame (3). The invention is applied in particular to the casting of camshafts for motor vehicles. <IMAGE>
