Abstract (en)
It is intended to permit the traction and pushing of railway wagons which at the same time are able to move on a road in order to perform various tasks. On bends, the lateral forces tend to cause the device to be derailed towards the outside of the bend. The currently known devices are equipped with rigid frames with long wheel bases, and in order to cancel out these lateral forces they must exert a substantial pressure on the guide wheels (7-8). Since the driving mass is reduced, the traction force is small. These disadvantages are eliminated by using the articulated frame since the articulated frame provides ideal taking of the bends (Fig. 2) and enables the pressure on the guide wheels (7-8) to be reduced. The driving mass (5, 6) is consequently greater, to the advantage of the traction force, whilst providing maximum safety. <IMAGE>
