To simplify the assembly of articles to be fastened to a wall, such as for example sanitary fittings, with two or more holding parts 4 fitted with screw holes, it is proposed that an adhesive strip 4 or the like, coated on both sides and covering the screw holes 42 and having markings 51 corresponding to the screw holes 42 is arranged on the wall-side contact surface 41 of each holder 4, the adhesive effect of the wall-side coating of said adhesive strip being substantially stronger than the adhesive effect of the fastening-side coating. For the assembly, an article of this type is pressed with its holding parts on the previously determined place on a wall or another fastening base and then removed again. Due to the stronger adhesive effect of the wall-side coating, the adhesive strip 5 remains on the wall. Zur Vereinfachung der Montage von wandseitig zu befestigenden Gegenständen, wie beispielsweise sanitären Ausstattungsarmaturen, mit zwei oder mehreren mit Schraubenlöcher versehenen Halteteilen 4 wird vorgeschlagen, an der wandseitigen Anlagefläche 41 einer jeden Halterung 4 ein doppelseitig beschichtetes, die Schraubenlöcher 42 überdeckendes Klebeband 5 oder dergleichen mit mit den Schraubenlöchern 42 korrespondierenden Markierungen 51 anzuordnen, dessen Klebwirkung der wandseitigen Beschichtung wesentlich stärker als die Klebwirkung der halteteilseitigen Beschichtung ist. Zur Montage wird ein solcher Gegenstand mit seinem Halteteilen an der vorher bestimmten Stelle an einer Wand oder einem sonstigen Befestigungsuntergrund aufgedrückt und danach wieder abgezogen. Aufgrund der stärkeren Klebwirkung der wandseitigen Beschichtung verbleibt das Klebeband 5 an der Wand. Durch die Klebebänder 5 hindurch werden die Bohrungen in die darunterliegende Wand oder dergleichen eingebracht.
