[origin: EP0349005A1] A hinge consists of a housing connection part (1), of a cover connection part (3) which is mounted rotatably thereon about a bearing bolt (2) and in which a stop bolt (4) is arranged at a distance from the bearing bolt (2), of a spring guide (6) which at one end is mounted pivotably on the end of the housing connection part (1) located opposite the cover connection part (3) and which at its other end is mounted rotatably on the stop bolt (4) of the cover connection part (3), of a compression spring (11) surrounding the spring guide (6), of a braking device and of a rocker (7) having an inner guide, on which the spring guide (6) is guided so as to be longitudinally displaceable. The rocker (7) is supported pivotably on the end of the housing connection part (1) located opposite the cover connection part (3). The compression spring (11) is arranged between the rocker (7) and a stop (part 10) on the spring guide (6). So that the necessary braking effect can be obtained for the particular cover opening angle, the spring guide (6) has a radially elastic braking region (16), the outer cross-section of which is larger than the inner cross-section of the rocker (7), so that the sliding movement of the spring guide (6) in the rocker (7) is braked. <IMAGE>
