The invention relates to a small domestic apparatus for cutting body hair, in particular a dry shaver, having a lower blade (20) which is longitudinally movable by means of an electric drive mechanism and performs vibratory movements in contact with a fixed upper blade (20a), the upper blade (20a) being provided with hair passage openings and the drive mechanism having a stator arrangement which is excitable by means of coils (6) and moves a bipolar-magnetised permanent magnet (35) which imparts the movements to the lower blade (20). When the stator coils (6) are switched off, the permanent magnet (35) is guided in the space of the stator field by means of spring forces into such a rest position that it performs oscillating movements about this rest position when the stator coils (6) are excited. Furthermore, the permanent magnet (35) is guided so as to be displaceable to and fro in the direction of movement of the lower blade (20). <IMAGE>

Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf ein kleines Haushaltsvibrationsgerät zum Abschneiden von Körperhaaren, insbesondere ein Trockenrasiergerät, mit einem von einer elektrischen Antriebsvorrichtung längsbewegbaren Untermesser (20), das in Berührung mit einem feststehenden Obermesser (20a) Vibrationsbewegungen ausführt, wobei das Obermesser (20a) mit Haardurchtrittsöffnungen versehen ist und wobei die Antriebsvorrichtung eine mittels Spulen (6) erregbare Statoranordnung aufweist, die einen zweipolig magnetisierten Permanentmagneten (35) bewegt, der die Bewegungen auf das Untermesser (20) überträgt. Der Permanentmagnet (35) wird bei abgeschalteten Statorspulen (6) im Raum des Statorfeldes mittels Federkräften in eine derartige Ruhelage geführt, daß er bei erregten Statorspulen (6) Schwingbewegungen um diese Ruhelage ausführt. Weiterhin ist der Permanentmagnet (35) in der Bewegungsrichtung des Untermessers (20) hin und her verschieblich geführt.
