On both sides of the pipe panel (6), protective shields (9, 10) are arranged at a distance. On those sides of the protective shields (9, 10) which are turned towards one another, strips (11, 12; 13, 14) are arranged on the upper and lower edges. Between the strips (11, 12), as between the strips (13, 14), there is a narrow gap. The air flow between the two protective shields (9, 10) is choked by means of the two gaps. The hot fluidised-bed material trickles in the intermediate space and transmits heat to the pipes (7) by contact.
