Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0349811A1] A feed-back control system for a combustion engine having spontaneous ignition is described. The feed-back control system comprises sensors for detecting operating variables, an electronic control device and an actuator for influencing the mass of fuel to be fed to the internal combustion engine. In a first step, a fundamental value (ME) for the fuel mass is calculated as a function at least of the engine speed and position of the accelerator pedal. This fundamental value for the quantity of fuel is corrected in a second step, the correction being effected as a function of the exhaust gas temperature signal. The exhaust gas temperature signal used for the correction is calculated from the measured exhaust gas temperature signal and further operating variables. <IMAGE>
