Abstract (en)
[origin: JPH0262377A] PURPOSE: To prevent occurring of sliding friction between a sliver and a sleeve and avoid dirt on the sliver, by rotatably supporting the sleeve on an inner element of a guide table, and by providing the sleeve with a radial outwardly projecting flange which is adjacent to a surface of the guide table to support the sliver. CONSTITUTION: An inner element 12 of a sliver guide 4 is fixed to a guide table 3 of a combing machine, and a sleeve 11 is rotatably mounted on the inner element 12. By a flange 15 provided for the sleeve 11 supports and runs a combed sliver 2. Because the combed sliver 2 is rotated entraining the sleeve 11 around its axial line, sliding friction does not occur between the sliver 2 and the sleeve 11. Thus, the possibility that the combed sliver 2 has dirt accumulated on the sleeve 11 is extremely avoided.
