Storage-stable, aqueous resin solution having a pH of at most 7, containing as the resin a water-dilutable polyamido-amine/epichlorohydrin resin (A) obtained by reacting a water-dilutable, basic polyamido-amine (B), consisting of an acid component (B1), and an amine component (B2) with epichlorohydrin (C), the content of organically bound chlorine in the resin (A) being at most 4% by weight and the component (B2) - if the acid component (B1) is an aliphatic or aromatic carboxylic acid or a functional derivative thereof, if appropriate in a mixture with an aminocarboxylic acid or lactams thereof - consisting of a mixture of polyamines and alkanolmonoamines. <??>The invention also relates to a process for the preparation of these products and to their use, especially for increasing the wet strength of paper.

Lagerstabile, wäßrige Harzlösung mit einem pH-Wert von höchstens 7, enthaltend als Harz ein wasserverdünnbares Polyamidoamin-Epichlorhydrin-Harz (A), erhalten durch Umsatz eines wasserverdünnbaren, basischen Polyamidoamins (B), bestehend aus einer Säurekomponente (B1), und einer Aminkomponente (B2), mit Epichlorhydrin (C), wobei der Gehalt an organisch gebundenem Chlor in dem Harz (A) höchstens 4 Gew.-% beträgt und wobei die Komponente (B2) - falls die Säurekomponente (B1) eine aliphatische oder aromatische Carbonsäure oder deren funktionelle Derivate, gegebenenfalls in Abmischung mit einer Aminocarbonsäure oder deren Lactamen darstellt - aus einem Gemisch aus Polyaminen und Alkanolmonoaminen besteht. Weiterhin betrifft die Erfindung ein Verfahren zur Herstellung dieser Produkte und deren Verwendung insbesondere zur Erhöhung der Naßfestigkeit von Papier.
