Abstract (en)
The plasma panel of the invention comprises writing electrodes (X1 to X6) crossed with parallel electrodes forming pairs (p1 to p6) of refresh electrodes. Each electrode pair (p1 to p6) comprises an electrode of a first family (Y1 to Y6) of the addressing-refresh type, and an electrode of a second family (E1 to E6) of the merely refresh type. According to a characteristic of the invention, the refresh electrodes (Y1 to Y6 and E1 to E6) are disposed according to a succession of two electrodes (E1 to E6) of the second family, followed by two electrodes of the first family (Y1 to Y6). The electrodes of the second family are brought to a same potential, and, in consequence the effect of this disposition is to do away with the lateral capacitors (C1) formed, in the prior art, between two successive pairs (p1 to p6) of electrodes. <IMAGE>

Le panneau à plasma de l'invention comprend des électrodes d'écriture (X1 à X6) croisées avec des électrodes parallèles formant des paires (p1 à p6) d'électrodes d'entretien. Chaque paire d'électrodes (p1 à p6) comprend une électrode d'une première familie (Y1 à Y6) du type adressage-entretien et une électrode d'une seconde famille (E1 à E6) du type uniquement d'entretien. Selon une caractéristique de l'invention, les électrodes d'entretien (Y1 à Y6 et E1 à E6) sont disposées selon une succession de deux électrodes (E1 à E6) de la seconde famille suivies de deux électrodes de la première famille (Y1 à Y6). Les électrodes de la seconde famille sont portées à un même potentiel, et, par suite cette disposition a pour effet de supprimer les capacités latérales (C1) formées dans l'art antérieur entre deux paires (p1 à p6) successives d'électrodes.
