[origin: EP0350405A2] Cleaning and treating unit for the maintenance of a printing machine, characterised in that it utilises, in combination, a certain number of means capable of alternately undertaking on the one hand the entire cleaning of the various active elements of the machine which are in contact with the printing ink, and on the other hand the moistening, cleaning, gumming and degumming of the printing plate, together with the maintenance of the physical properties and surface condition of the rubberised parts such as rollers and printing blankets. <??>These various functions are performed by using, in combination, the cleaning, moistening, gumming and degumming devices, fed with suitable maintenance products and solutions for the various functions, with the aid of the pump 45 which draws them from the stocks 44 and from the dispensing containers 48 and 68. An electrodistribution assembly 46, 47, 52, 52A, 52B, 53 and 54 makes it possible to convey the products in the desired directions. An electronic control automates all functions, in accordance with the type of cleaning programmed by means of the electronic package 55 and these control means 56, 57 and 58. Another embodiment of the invention combines with these functions those which are necessary for the cooling and treatment of the waters in order to make common use of a single fluid pump 45, a single frame 43A and the same stock of moistening water 61. <??>Another embodiment of the invention uses the air pump of the machine 45A to convey the various products necessary for its implementation.
