Abstract (en)

[origin: JPH02152610A] PURPOSE: To improve the productivity without impairing the quality by almost simultaneously performing the return conveyance of a hose and the formation of a side bottleneck portion, and squeezing the products. CONSTITUTION: A close jaws 25, 26 are stopped at a mutually gap (x), a hose 18 can be passed through the gap (x) between the close jaws 25, 26 without being interrupted, but the packed matter cannot be passed therethrough. A rotating direction of a motor 21 is inverted, and the hose 18 is returned and conveyed in the opposite direction by the tension belts 19, 20. This return conveyance of the hose realizes the squeezing of the hose 18 by closing the close jaws 25, 26 by the gap (x). This gap (x) is determined so that the hose can be slided between both close jaws 25, 26 without being interrupted, but the packed matter cannot be passed between the close jaws at all. The hose 18 is moved in the normal conveying direction by the length A+y which is longer than the desired bag length A, and the over-conveying length (y) is return conveyed, whereby the 'squeezing' of the bag 28 can be realized without the vertical movement of a lateral closing device 24.
