Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0350749A2] The invention relates to a device for separating sheets from a pile, having a store, which is open at the base side, for receiving the pile, as well as a supporting device for the pile which can be moved to and fro at the lower side of the pile, which device carries a suction roller which bears on the lower side of the pile and which can be turned to and fro between an initial position and a delivery position for the removed sheet. In order to prevent damage to the sheets, provision is made for the supporting device to have a cradle which is movable back and forth along a slide bar on the lower side of the store, the movement of which cradle is positively coupled to the rotary movement of the suction roller in such a way that the suction roller rolls counter to the direction of movement of the cradle at the lower side of the sheet, and to comprise on both sides of the suction roller in each case a belt section, located in the plane of the base side of the store, for supporting the lower side of the pile, and the length of which is changeable in accordance with the movement stroke of the cradle with frictionless engagement with the lower side of the pile. <IMAGE>
