Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0350808A2] The invention relates to a method for detecting substances with hydrolase activity in a sample by mixing the sample with a hydrolase substrate and with an oxidising agent and evaluating the resulting colour intensity, characterised in that the hydrolase substrate is at least one compound of the formula I <IMAGE> in which R<1> is hydrogen or an alkoxy group R<2> is hydrogen, halogen, an alkoxy, an aralkoxy or amino group R<3>, R<4>, R<5> and R<6>, which can be identical or different, are hydrogen, halogen, an alkyl, alkoxy, aralkoxy, carboxyl, alkylcarbonyl, alkoxycarbonyl, carbamoyl, sulpho or amino group and X is a glycosyl, phosphate or acyl radical, where the radicals R<2> and R<3>, R<3> and R<4> and R<4> and R<5>, and R<5> and R<6> can each form a closed ring system, at least one of the radicals R<1> and R<2> is hydrogen and at least one of the radicals R<1>, R<2> and R<3> is not hydrogen, to a means for carrying it out and to hydrolase substrates.
