[origin: EP0350835A2] An electrical connector has a housing sleeve (1) and a plug contact housing (6), both of which are of one-piece design. The housing sleeve (1) has on the inner side at least one radially acting detent means (2) for latching with a correspondingly designed counter-detent means (14) of the plug contact housing (6) introduced into the housing sleeve (1). A crimping zone (3), onto which a crimping tool can be placed from outside, is formed on the housing sleeve (1). In the region of the crimping zone (3), the plug contact housing (6) is provided with a metal sleeve (11). A tube-like screen of the lever can be clamped firmly between metal sleeve (11) and crimping zone (3). <IMAGE>
