Abstract (en)
The invention relates to a process for the production of composite electrodes for electrochemical processes which are produced from a valve metal base and a coating, strongly adherent thereto, of platinum foil by high-temperature isostatic pressing of the base metal and the platinum foil between layers of release agent. The release agent which comes into contact with the platinum foil is a foil made from a metal having a high melting point, preferably having a diffusion-barrier layer. A ceramic foil which is free from carbon or C-eliminating compounds can likewise be used with subsequent cleaning of the platinum surface of the HIP composite material.

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Herstellung von Verbundelektroden für elektrochemische Prozesse, die aus einer Ventilmetallbasis und einer fest daran anhaftenden Auflage aus Platinfolie durch heißisostatisches Verpressen von Basismetall und Platinfolie zwischen Trennmittelschichten hergestellt werden. Dabei wird als dasjenige Trennmittel, das mit der Platinfolie in Kontakt kommt, eine Folie aus Metall mit hoher Schmelztemperatur, vorzugsweise mit Diffusionssperrschicht verwendet. Eine Keramikfolie, die frei von Kohlenstoff oder C-abspaltenden Verbindungen ist, kann mit nachfolgender Reinigung der Platinoberfläche des HIP-Verbundmaterials ebenfalls verwendet werden.
