Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0351276A1] Method of detecting failures in a laundry drier (1) equipped with a laundry drum (2), with electrical heating resistors (5) and with an air-circulating fan (4), characterised in that it involves measurements of temperatures of the air (T1, T2, T3, T4, T5, Tmin, Tj) in the region of the air-outlet shaft (6) and at predetermined moments (t1, t2, t3, t4) of the operating cycle of this laundry drier, determining values of the variations in the measured temperatures (Tj-T(j-1), T1-Tmin, T2-T1, T4-T3, T5-Ts) and identifying the failures by a selective recognition of the abnormal values of these temperature variations, taking into account these moments of measurement of these temperatures, in the operating cycle of the laundry drier (1). Laundry drier putting this process into practice, comprising a temperature sensor (14), a control circuit (15) equipped with an electronic card (16) using a microprocessor and luminous signalling diodes. <IMAGE>
