At least a part of the surfaces of the structures and/or devices in question comprises an organic and/or inorganic surface layer (I) containing antimicrobial or other chemotherapeutic substance or combination of substances being releasable from the surface layer in tissue conditions and preventing the growth of micro-organisms or corresponding organisms or killing them, thus preventing the propagation of micro-organisms and corresponding organisms, the start of infection, the propagation of infection, or suppressing infection, in the tissues and/or on the surface of the surface layer (I) of said structure and/or device.

La présente invention se rapporte à des structures et/ou des dispositifs qui sont en contact étroit avec des tissus du corps ou qui peuvent être installés au moins partiellement à l'intérieur de tissus et/ou d'organes et/ou de cavités du corps (canaux ou vaisseaux) et qui remplissent une certaine fonction (en particulier la couche de noyau II, par exemple de support et/ou de jointures et/ou de remplacement de tissus et/ou d'organes ou de parties d'organe et/ou de transport de substance et/ou d'énergie entre diverses parties du corps et/ou entre le corps et son environnement. Au moins une partie des surfaces des structures et/ou des dispositifs en question comprend une couche superficielle organique et/ou inorganique (I) contenant un agent anti-microbien ou tout autre substance chimiothérapeutique ou une combinaison de substances pouvant être libérées de la couche superficielle dans les tissus et empêchant la croissance de microorganismes ou d'organismes correspondants ou détruisant ces organismes, empêchant ainsi la propagation de microorganismes et d'organismes correspondants, les débuts d'infections, la propagation d'infections ou supprimant les infections, dans les tissus et/ou sur la surface de la couche superficielle (I) de cette structure et/ou de ce dispositif.
