Abstract (en)

[origin: JPH0272059A] PURPOSE: To provide a safe opening system by a method wherein when turning a closure which is substantially rectangular in shape relative to a container, two locks along the width of a skirt closure are disengaged from a rim and two locks on a length of a base are disengaged by deformation at a smaller axial line level with the rim and a neck which is substantially elliptical in shape. CONSTITUTION: A neck 4 which is elliptical in shape has a rim 5 to lock a closure 6 and the closure 6 has a base 9, a skirt 10, four locking tabs 7 on a cross section which is substantially rectangular in shape, and a tab 8 to hold an insert on the base of the closure. When the closure is turned to be disengaged, said elliptical rim of the container causes an impediment against the displacement from said turning, but the elliptical shape causes no obstacle at the position A of the locking tabs. Thus, the skirt is not deformed in the region A and the tab is easily released by rotation of the closure. On the contrary, a locking tab in a region B cannot be freely turned and is thus collided with the elliptical rim, the skirt in this region being deformed until said tab is passed over the rim 5. The rim forms an angle of 60-75 degrees and the elliptical shape is deflected to be 1.04-2 or 1.5-2.
