A method and device for electrostatic spray coating objects with coating powder,in particular enamel powder. According to the invention, the weight of the coating powder deposited on an object (16, 54) is measured by a weighing device (8, 12) and the moisture content of the coating powder to be coated is controlled as a function of the measurement result. The electrical resistance of the coating powder is dependant on the moisture content so that the electrical resistance is controlled by the moisture. By controlling the electrical resistance as a function of the weight measurement, better coating qualities and a better coating efficiency are produced. <IMAGE>

Verfahren und Vorrichtung zum elektrostatischen Sprühbeschichten von Objekten mit Beschichtungspulver, insbesondere Emailpulver. Gemäß der Erfindung wird durch eine Gewichtsmeßeinrichtung (8, 12) das Gewicht des auf ein Objekt (16, 54) abgeschiedenen Beschichtungspulvers gemessen und in Abhängigkeit vom Meßergebnis der Feuchtigkeitsgehalt des zu beschichtenden Beschichtungspulvers geregelt. Der elektrische Widerstand des Beschichtungspulvers ist vom Feuchtigkeitsgehalt abhängig, so daß durch die Feuchtigkeit der elektrische Widerstand geregelt wird. Durch die Regelung des elektrischen Widerstandes in Abhängigkeit von der Gewichtsmessung werden bessere Beschichtungsqualitäten und ein besserer Beschichtungswirkungsgrad erzeugt.
