Inserted in a guide piece (29) of a hair dryer is an air deflection nozzle (14) which is capable of deflecting the emerging air flow in the main plane of extension of the handle (10) of the hair dryer in any direction depending on the position. In ein Führungstück (29) eines Haartrockners ist eine Luftumlenktülle (14) gesetzt, welche den austretenden Luftstrom in Haupterstreckungsebene des Handgriffes (10) des Haartrockners je nach Stellung beliebig umzulenken vermag. Die Luftumlenktülle (14) kann beispielsweise mittels eines Stellmotores (17) koaxial zum Luftauslaß (20) verdreht werden.
