Abstract (en)
The present invention relates to a locking device for a box with a cover forming, for example, a glove compartment for a motor vehicle. This device essentially comprises two catches (6) fixed respectively to the ends of an elongate support (9) mounted slidably in a guide element (10) fastened to the dashboard of a vehicle and carrying, at one of its ends nearest to the seat of the vehicle driver, a handle (11) capable of driving the elongate support (9) in translational motion in the guide element (10) in order to unlock the cover of a glove compartment mounted in a receptacle made in the vehicle dashboard. This device makes it possible to lock a glove-compartment cover mounted on the dashboard of any saloon car or commercial vehicle. <IMAGE>

La présente invention concerne un dispositif de verrouillage d'un boîtier avec couvercle formant par exemple vide-poches pour un véhicule automobile. Ce dispositif comprend essentiellement deux pênes (6) respectivement solidaires des extrémités d'un support allongé (9) monté coulissant dans un élément de guidage (10) fixé sur la planche de bord d'un véhicule et portant à l'une de ses extrémités, la plus proche du poste de conduite du véhicule, une manette (11) susceptible d'entraîner en translation le support allongé (9) dans l'élément de guidage (10) pour déverrouiller le couvercle d'un vide-poches monté dans un logement pratiqué dans la planche de bord du véhicule. Ce dispositif permet le verrouillage d'un couvercle de vide-poches monté sur la planche de bord d'un véhicule de tourisme ou utilitaire quelconque.
