In electrofilters for separating liquids and/or solids out of gases, in particular for separating liquid vapours and aerosols from industrial waste gases, in which the collecting electrodes are arranged extending essentially vertically and are of tubular construction, there is the risk of electrical flashovers occurring in the area of discharge of the liquids, separated out of the gases, and/or solids between the spray electrodes and the collecting electrodes, said flashovers destroying the spray electrodes with a considerable speed. In the previously known electrofilters a relatively strong dimensioning of the collecting electrodes is also necessary in order to ensure sufficient stability for operation. In contrast with this, according to the invention an electrofilter with a high degree of stability which is free from flashovers between the spray electrode and the collecting electrode is obtained in that the collecting electrodes (2, 13) are constructed at least at the lower ends (5) widened in a funnel shape and are combined to form an enclosed spatial unit. <IMAGE>
Abstract (de)
Bei Elektrofiltern zur Abscheidung von Flüssigkeiten und/oder Feststoffen aus Gasen, insbesondere zur Abscheidung von Flüssigkeitsnebeln und Aerosolen aus Industrie-Abgasen, bei denen die Niederschlagselektroden im wesentlichen vertikal verlaufend angeordnet und rohrförmig ausgebildet sind, besteht die Gefahr, daß es im Austragsbereich der aus den Gasen abgeschiedenen Flüssigkeiten und/oder Feststoffen zwischen den Sprühelektroden und den Niederschlagselektroden zu elektrischen Überschlägen kommt, die die Sprühelektroden verhältnismäß rasch zerstören. Auch bedarf es bei den bisher bekannten Elektrofiltern einer verhältnismäßig starken Dimensionierung der Niederschlagselektroden, um eine für den Betrieb ausreichende Stabilität zu gewährleisten. Gemäß der Erfindung wird demgegenüber ein von Überschlägen zwischen der Sprühelektrode und der Niederschlagselektrode freies Elektrofilter hoher Stabilität dadurch erreicht, daß die Niederschlagselektroden (2, 13) wenigstens an den unteren Enden (5) trichterförmig erweitert ausgebildet und zu einer in sich geschlossenen Raumeinheit zusammengefaßt sind.
