Abstract (en)
A franking machine having an ink jet printer, in which the ink jet nozzles are offset both in the direction (7) of movement of the articles (3) for posting and also transversely thereto. Due to the offsetting, the ink drop points on an article (3) for posting can be applied adjoining each other without gaps and in a partially overlapping manner. In a preferred embodiment, the ink jet nozzles (5) are arranged in equidistant columns (..1 to ..4) perpendicular to the direction (7) of movement and in likewise equidistant rows at an inclination to the direction of movement. <IMAGE>
Abstract (de)
Frankiermaschine mit einem Tintenstrahldrucker, bei dem die Tintenstrahldüsen sowohl in der Bewegungsrichtung (7) des Postguts (3) als auch quer dazu versetzt sind. Durch die Versetzung sind die Tintentropfenpunkte auf einem Postgut (3) teilweise überlappend und lückenlos aneinanderanschließend aufbringbar. In einer bevorzugten Ausführungsform sind die Tintenstrahldüsen (5) in zur Bewegungsrichtung (7) senkrechten, äquidistanten Spalten (..1 bis ..4) und zur Bewegungsrichtung schrägen, ebenfalls äquidistanten Reihen angeordnet.
