The hollow drill bit consists essentially of a tubular support body (1) and cutting segments (2) arranged in U-shaped location openings (1d) at the front end (1a) of the support body (1). The cutting segments (2) are supported radially via stops (2h, 2i) on at least one section of the wall parts of the support body (1) which define the location openings (1d). To secure the cutting segments (2) to the support body (1), the cutting segments (2) can be additionally connected to a support body (1) by welding, brazing or sintering. <IMAGE>

Das Hohlbohrwerkzeug besteht im wesentlichen aus einem rohrförmigen Trägerkörper (1) und in U-förmigen Aufnahmeöffnungen (1d) am vorderen Ende (1a) des Trägerkörpers (1) angeordneten Schneidsegmenten (2). An wenigstens einem Teil der die Aufnahmeöffnungen (1d) begrenzenden Wandungsteile des Trägerkörpers (1) stützen sich die Schneidsegmente (2) über Anschläge (2h, 2i) radial ab. Zur Sicherung der Schneidsegmente (2) am Trägerkörper (1) können die Schneidsegmente (2) zusätzlich durch Schweissen, Löten oder Sintern mit dem Trägerkörper (1) verbunden werden.
