[origin: US4944137A] A device for opening envelope bodies so that they can be filled has opening fingers coupled to actuator means for moving the fingers between a retracted position and an opening position in front of each envelope in a filling position. The device includes a preassembled assembly (30) formed on a "finger" shaft (35) which carries the fingers (30) which are mounted to rotate freely thereon and which are positioned longitudinally therealong and retained resiliently by abutment means, and secondly a guide plate (10) mounted relative to the assembly (30) to oppose the abutment means by constituting a sliding surface for the fingers when they are actuated. The device is applicable to processing mail.

Il est à doigts d'ouverture couplés à des moyens d'actionnement assurant leur mise en position effacée ou en position d'ouverture, en regard de chaque enveloppe dans une position de chargement. Il est caractérisé en ce qu'il comporte d'une part un ensemble préassemblé (30) formé sur un axe dit axe des doigts (35) portant lesdits doigts (13) montés libres en rotation positionnés longitudinalement et retenus élastiquement par des moyens de butée, sur l'axe des doigts, et d'autre part une plaque de guidage (10) montée relativement audit ensemble (30) pour s'opposer aux moyens de butée en constituant une surface de glissement pour les doigts lors de leur actionnement.
