Abstract (en)

[origin: JPH0275200A] PURPOSE: To improve the power factor of a switch bridge circuit by providing it with two capacitor arms. CONSTITUTION: An inverter WR comprises two switch arms of an electronically controlled switch T1 and an electronically controlled switch T2, and two capacitor arms of a capacitor C1 and a capacitor C2. The capacitor C2 smoothes a distribution alternating voltage rectified by a high voltage electrolytic capacitor. The capacitor C1 has a capacity smaller than that of the capacitor C2 and is charged by the switches T1 and T2 switched on or off at a switching frequency higher than a distribution alternating frequency. Flywheel diodes D1, D2 and D3 are connected parallel to the switches T1 and T2 and the capacitor C1 respectively. The two capacitor arms thus provided and the high voltage electrolytic capacitor on only one side realize a switch bridge circuit of a higher power factor with no increase of leakage currents.
