Process for the preparation of compounds of the formula <IMAGE> by reaction of a pyrrolopyrrole of the formula <IMAGE> in which X1 denotes a group <IMAGE> X2 is a group <IMAGE> or has the same meaning as X1, with a secondary amine of the formula <IMAGE> in the molar ratio 1:2, in the presence of an anhydrous dipolar aprotic solvent and a 0.1 to 15-fold stoichiometric amount, relative to the amine of the formula III, of an anhydrous organic base, at temperatures between 50 and 230 DEG C and at a pressure between 1 and 10 bar. Claim 1 is referred to regarding the meaning of the substituents R1-R8, Y and Hal. The compounds of the formula I are in particular suitable as photoconducting substances.

Verfahren zur Herstellung von Verbindungen der Formel <IMAGE> ist oder die gleiche Bedeutung wie X1 hat, mit einem sekundären Amin der der Formel <IMAGE> im Molverhältnis 1:2, in Gegenwart eines wasserfreien, dipolaren, aprotischen Lösungsmittels und einer 0,1- bis 15-fachen stöchiometrischen Menge bezogen auf das Amin der Formel III, einer wasserfreien organischen Base, bei Temperaturen zwischen 50 und 230°C und einem Druck zwischen 1 und 10 bar. Bezüglich der Bedeutung der Substituenten R1-R8, Y und Hal wird auf Anspruch 1 verwiesen. Die Verbindungen der Formel I eignen sich insbesondere als photoleitfähige Substanzen.
