The device possesses a vertical base plate (1) having a jack ring (3) arranged in the upper region (2) thereof, the base plate (1) possessing at least three deflection members (5, 6, 7) which are mutually spaced at distances (29, 30) and stand up vertically from the base plate (1), and have free ends (5a, 6a, 7a) which are designed and arranged to deflect, in a meander-shaped manner, the belt end (8), at least some of which can be shortened, and which is in part looped to form a double layer. Die Vorrichtung weist eine vertikale Grundplatte (1) mit einer an deren oberen Bereich (2) angeordneten Kranösen (3) auf, wobei die Grundplatte (1) wenigstens drei untereinander in Abständen (29, 30) von der Grundplatte (1) senkrecht abstehende Umlenkkörper (5, 6, 7) mit freien Enden (5a, 6a, 7a) aufweist, welche das die mindestens teilweise und zum Teil doppellagig umschlingende verkürzbare Gurtende (8) mäanderförmig umlenkend ausgebildet und angeordnet sind. Die Vorrichtung eignet sich für hohe Lastbereiche.
