[origin: WO9001394A1] A roller tool for burnishing and/or hard rolling comprises at least one roller rotatably mounted, guided and supported on a roller head. To reduce the dimensions of the roller head and to eliminate the effect of the inertial mass of support rollers, the roller head (4) is designed as a hydrostatic bearing (3) for the roller (2) and has a connecting channel (8) for a connection to a pressure source for a fluid.

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Walzwerkzeug zum Glattwalzen und/oder Festwalzen, mit mindestens einer an einem Rollenkopf drehbar gelagerten, geführten und abgestützten Walzrolle. Um die Baugröße solcher Rollenköpfe zu verkleinern und den Einfluß der Massenträgheit von Stützrollen zu eliminieren, wird vorgeschlagen, daß der Rollenkopf (4) als hydrostatisches Lager (3) für die Walzrolle (2) ausgebildet ist und einen Anschlußkanal (8) für eine Verbindung mit einer Druckquelle für ein Fluid aufweist.
