[origin: JPH02160926A] PURPOSE: To uniformly guide fibers and improve the cleaned state of a fiber material by arranging a 3rd card clothing drum between a 1st card clothing drum and a 2nd card clothing drum in a specific state. CONSTITUTION: Card clothing drums 4, 5, 6 having properly selected diameters and rotational speeds are connected with each other in series. The card clothing drum 5 is cooperated as a take-off and opening drum together with the card clothing drum 4 and the card clothing drum 6 is cooperated as a take-off and opening drum together with the card clothing drum 5. The disturbance of air flow on the card clothing drum 4 is eliminated by this arrangement to improve the opened state of the fiber material.
