[origin: JPH0280630A] PURPOSE: To provide a sliver-feeding device, capable of reducing the number and actions of work elements, simplifying the structure and saving the space of the device by combining a press roller with the movement of a movable means to form a nipping portion and separating the press roller from a driving roller. CONSTITUTION: A nipping element KE1 is moved in the arrow direction P to form a nipping portion KS1 between the surface of a press roller DW and the nipping element KE1. A fiber flow FS is nipped between the nipping element KE1 and the press roller DW. When the nipping element KE1 is further moved in the same direction, the press roller DW is slightly lifted from a driving roller EZ, and immediately stopped.
