The invention relates to a passive infrared intrusion detector for monitoring spaces, which can be operated portably, that is to say without a supply cable, from a mains socket or by battery. Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf einen passiven Infrarot-Eindringdetektor zur Raumüberwachung, der mobil, das heißt ohne Netzleitung, an einer Netzsteckdose oder mit Batterie betrieben werden kann. Zu diesem Zwecke ist das Gehäuse modulartig ausgebildet, wobei das Gehäuseoberteil den Infrarotdetektor, die Auswerteelektronik sowie den Alarmgeber aufweist, während ein erstes Gehäuseunterteil ein Netzteil und einen Netzstecker bzw. ein zweites Gehäuseunterteil, eine Batteriekammer und ein entsprechendes Stromversorgungsteil aufweist.
