Method of treating and packaging articles (1) so as to form an outer-packaged palletised load, comprising a plurality of superposed layers (2) of articles (1), in which there is formed a layer of articles waiting to be stacked; a free pallet (6) is taken, it is transported and is set down in a stacking area (7); an interlayer (8) in sheet form is taken, it is transported and is set down, in the stacking area (7), on the pallet (6) or a lower layer (2) or articles; the layer (2) of articles waiting to be stacked is taken, it is transported and is set down in the stacking area (7) on the waiting interlayer (8); the formation phases are repeated; the load is covered with a tight film of plastic material which is applied to form the outer packaging; each of the layers is surrounded laterally by a supporting member (2) which is formed by a strip of film consisting of flexible plastic material, having a substantial width relative to the height of the articles and capable of producing a substantial tightening of the layer of articles. <IMAGE>

Procédé de conditionnement et d'emballage d'articles (1) pour constituer une charge palettisée suremballée, comportant plusieurs lits (2) superposés d'articles (1) dans lequel on constitue un lit d'articles en attente d'empilage ; on saisit une palette libre (6), on la transporte, on la dépose dans une zone d'empilage (7) ; on saisit un intercalaire (8) en forme de feuille , on le transporte , et on le dépose, dans la zone d'empilage (7), sur la palette (6) ou un lit (2) inférieur d'articles ; on saisit le lit (2) d'articles en attente d'empilage , on le transporte et on le dépose dans la zone d'empilage (7) sur l'intercalaire (8) en attente ; on répète les phases de constitution ; on recouvre et on applique serré du film en matière plastique formant suremballage ; on entoure latéralement chacun des lits avec un organe (2) de maintien constitué par une bande de film en matière plastique souple, ayant une largeur substantielle par rapport à la hauteur des articles et apte à réaliser un serrage substantiel du lit d'articles.
