Bell-type furnace, in particular for bringing about the annealing of sheet metal in coils in a controlled atmosphere, which comprises a fixed base provided with a support plate, on which the pile(s) of coils rest, an internal cover, which insulates the charge from the ambient atmosphere and rests on said base with interposition of an annular seal, and a furnace which is provided with the means of heating and which comes to cover the cover, characterised in that a semi-impermeable barrier (22, 24, 26) is made between the internal capacity (C) of said internal cover and the annular space (A) separating the circular lateral wall (28) of the periphery of the base and said internal cover, and in that means are provided which limit the temperature of the lower collar. <IMAGE>

Four cloche notamment pour réaliser des opérations de recuit sous atmosphère contrôlée de tôles métalliques en bobines qui comprend une base fixe munie d'une plaque d'appui sur laquelle repose la ou les piles de bobines, un couvercle intérieur isolant la charge de l'atmosphère ambiante et reposant sur ladite base avec interposition d'un joint annulaire et un four muni des moyens de chauffage et qui vient recouvrir le couvercle, caractérisé en ce que l'on réalise une barrière semi-étanche (22, 24, 26) entre la capacité interne (C) dudit couvercle intérieur et l'espace annulaire (A) séparant la paroi latérale (28) circulaire de la périphérie de la base et ledit couvercle intérieur et en ce que lon dispose des moyens limitant la température de la bride inférieure.
