The stationary display member (11) has twelve areas (29) separated off from one another, i.e. an area for each hour. The rotatable display member (13) has a lancet-like window (27) which extends from the centre (17) to or into the vicinity of the periphery (19). A gradation (25), which is designed as a ten-minute gradation, is located at the edge (23') of the window. It is possible to read off at this gradation (25) how much has already elapsed from the hour which has started, or how long of the hour started still remains. The device thus has a double function. On the one hand the hour is indicated, as is normally carried out by a hand, but here it is given by the position of the window (27). On the other hand, the fraction of the hour started is also indicated in the window (27). The large free area on the display member (13) gives the designer many options for aesthetic design. <IMAGE>

Das stationäre Anzeigeorgan (11) besitzt zwölf voneinander abgegrenzte Flächen (29) also eine Fläche für jede Stunde. Das drehbare Anzeigeorgan (13) besitzt ein lanzettliches Fenster (27), das sich vom Zentrum (17) her bis oder in die Nähe der Peripherie (19) erstreckt. Eine Gradierung (25), die als Zehnminutengradierung ausgebildet ist, befindet sich am Fensterrand (23'). An dieser Gradierung (25) kann abgelesen werden, wieviel von der angefangenen Stunde schon verflossen ist, bzw. wielange die angefangene Stunde noch dauert. Die Einrichtung hat also eine Doppelfunktion. Einerseits erfolgt eine Stundenanzeige, wie sie normalerweise mit einem Zeiger durchgeführt wird, hier aber durch die Stellung des Fensters (27) gegeben wird. Andererseits erfolgt im Fenster (27) auch eine Anzeige des Bruchteils der angefangenen Stunde. Die grosse freie Fläche auf dem Anzeigeorgan (13) gibt dem Designer viele Möglichkeiten der ästhetischen Ausgestaltung.
