Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0354259A1] A less readily adsorbable component is separated from a feed gas mixture in a vacuum pressure swing adsorption process that includes repressurization from a subatmospheric desorption pressure to a higher adsorption pressure by pressure equalization and feed air repressurization and depressurization by such pressure equalization means and evacuation to the subatmospheric desorption pressure. Partial rather than full pressure equalizations are employed. A high purity product, e.g. oxygen upon air separation, is conveniently and economically obtained thereby.
