Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0354342A1] In a fluid displacement machine for compressible media with a plurality of delivery chambers arranged in a fixed housing, each housing half (7, 7') has two delivery chambers (11, 11') offset by about 180 DEG to one another and extending in a spiral from an inlet (12, 12') to an outlet (13). Associated with each delivery chamber is a displacer element which engages in the latter and is held perpendicularly as a spiral strip (3, 3') on a disc-shaped rotor (1) which can be driven eccentrically in relation to the housing. To guide it, a second guiding eccentric arrangement (26, 27) arranged at a distance from a first driving eccentric arrangement (23, 24) is provided in the housing. To accommodate any length differences between delivery chamber and displacer element in a yielding manner, the guide shaft (27) of the guiding eccentric arrangement is mounted in a plain bearing (28). <IMAGE>
