Abstract (en)
The dispenser pocesses a pillar-shaped housing (1) in which are located a storage magazine (7) for available articles (8), an article shaft (2) for the entry and exit of the articles, electromechanical means (9a-9c) for transporting the articles between the storage magazine and the article shaft, and a control unit (10) comprising a computer. Provided on the housing are an operating part having a keyboard (3) and a display (4), and a magnetic card reader/writer (6), which are accessible from outside. The computer software implementations comprise a user access monitoring and recording system, an article stock-control system and a customer account system. The dispenser is so designed that it can both supply selected articles via the operating part and take back appropriate articles, the movements of articles being automatically recorded in a user-specific manner. The dispenser can thus be used as an automatic article lender, particularly for video cassettes or the like. <IMAGE>

Die Vorrichtung weist ein säulenförmiges Gehäuse (1) auf, in dem sich ein Vorratsmagazin (7) für angebotene Waren (8), ein Warenschacht (2) zur Ein- und Ausgabe der Waren, elektromechanische Mittel (9a-9c) zum Transport der Waren zwischen Vorratsmagazin und Warenschacht sowie eine durch einen Rechner gebildete Steuerungseinrichtung (10) befinden. Von aussen zugänglich sind am Gehäuse ein Bedienteil mit einer Tastatur (3) und einer Anzeige (4) sowie ein Magnetkartenleser/schreiber (6) vorgesehen. Im Rechner softwaremässig implementiert sind ein Benutzer-Zutrittskontroll- und Registriersystem, ein Warenlagerverwaltungssystem und ein Kundenbuchhaltungssystem. Die Vorrichtung ist so ausgelegt, dass sie sowohl über das Bedienteil ausgewählte Waren abgeben als auch entsprechende Waren wieder zurücknehmen kann, wobei die Warenbewegungen automatisch benutzerspezifisch registriert werden. Die Vorrichtung ist somit als Waren-Verleihautomat, insbesondere für Video-Kassetten oder dergleichen einsetzbar.
