[origin: EP0354423A1] Cylindrical tap selector for step-down transformers in which fixed step contacts (2) are seated in at least one plane in the wall of an insulating material cylinder (1). A contact bridge (6) is provided for each plane, the inner end of which brushes against a contact ring (4) lying in the same plane which is arranged around a tubular operating shaft (3) made of insulating material guiding the contact bridge. The contact ring (4) is seated here on a ring (8) made of insulating material arranged around the operating shaft (3) and is locked to the latter by means of a plurality of dogs (9).
