[origin: EP0354798A2] A silver halide photographic light-sensitive material having a support and provided thereon the hydrophilic colloid layers including a silver halide emulsion layer is disclosed. Said silver halide emulsion layer comprises a silver halide emulsion prepared by carrying out desalination of the excessive salts at pH of not higher than 6 after formation of the silver halide grains, and by adding a sensitizing dye to the silver halide emulsion prior to chemical sensitization of the silver halide grains.
