Abstract (en)

[origin: JPH0281800A] PURPOSE: To eliminate gap and twisting motion between members by using an antifriction joint installed between two adjacent members and including at least one pre-molded elastic band having an arc-shaped cross section. CONSTITUTION: Braces 12, 14 to be fixed to corresponding members E1, E2 have cylindrical surfaces 12a, 14a having arc-shaped cross sections, and they are rolled in to each other to enable move between two tip positions deflected by 90 deg. from each other. A joint 10 includes flexible members of which tips are fixed to the braces 12, 14 to roll on the surfaces 12a and 14a for guiding the cylindrical surfaces 12a and 14a continuously when the braces 12, 14 roll to each other inversely. These members are formed of stainless steel, for example, and they ensure guiding of rotary motion between the surfaces 12a and 14a as flexible metal plates 16 and 28 of four plates known as winding or controlling plates.
