Abstract (en)
The invention consists in the construction of a device combining, in one very compact unit (1), the means for trimming and compressing the tobacco in the course of the cycle of formation of the roll. The trimmer discs (3, 4) are formed by bevelled circular knives in contact by their periphery (at 21). The trimmed tobacco falls under gravity into an evacuation container, without being subjected to slabbing by extraction brushes. The cyclic compression of the roll at the locations corresponding to the cigarette ends is ensured by a rotary cam (7) placed slightly upstream of these and below the trimmer discs. <IMAGE>

L'invention consiste en la realisation d'un dispositif réunissant dans une unité très compacte (1) les moyens d'écrêtage et de compression du tabac lors du cycle de formation du boudin. Les disques écrêteurs (3, 4) sont constitués de couteaux circulaires biseautés en contact par leur périphérie (en 21). Le tabac écrêté tombe par gravité dans un bac d'évacuation, sans être soumis au fouettage de brosses d'extraction. La compression cyclique du boudin aux endroits correspondant aux bouts de cigarettes est assurée par une came rotative (7) placée légèrement en amont de ceux-ci et en dessous des disques écrêteurs.
