[origin: EP0355238A1] The invention relates to an assembly of a plurality of automatic product or service vending machines, for example travel ticket dispensers within a particular fare zone or ticket dispensers for a car-park company, each machine (1) possessing, in addition to at least one cash box (10), a plurality of exchangeable, preferably self-replenishing coin stores (9) for issuing change and a computer (13) which controls the machine (1) and produces a balance, and has write/read memories (16) which are protected against power supply failure. In order to prevent dishonest manipulations by operating personnel and to enable errors to be clearly identified, with the elimination of human error from the analysis, and without additional work being necessary, each coin store (9) is provided with an electronic memory (20) which is protected against data loss and in which, each time the coin store (9) is inserted in a machine (1), the code identifying this machine (1), for example the machine number, is stored.
