In cookers, a ventilation grid is conventionally provided at a distance above the upper edge of the cooker door and is positioned in the form of a strip between the cooker door and the operating panel. This ventilation grid is colour-matched to the basic colour of the cooker, and is therefore white or light-coloured in the case of white or light-coloured cookers. As a result of the vapours emerging from the ventilation grid or from the opened cooker door, the ventilation grid becomes visibly soiled and unattractive. By way of innovation, the ventilation grid adjoins the upper edge of the dark-coloured cooker door, in a substantially direct transition, and possesses the same coloration as the cooker door, so that soiling does not arise and the cooker door and ventilation grid form an optical unit. <IMAGE>

Bei Kochherden ist üblicherweise mit Abstand oberhalb des oberen Randes der Herdtür ein Lüftungsgitter vorgesehen, das in Form einer Leiste zwischen Herdtür und Bedienpaneel plaziert ist. Dieses Lüftungsgitter ist farblich an die Grundfarbe des Herdes angepaßt und ist bei weißen oder hellen Herden daher weiß oder hell. Durch den aus dem Lüftungsgitter oder aus der geöffneten Herdtür austretenden Wrasen wird das Lüftungsgitter sichtbar verschmutzt und unansehnlich. Neuerungsgemäß schließt sich das Lüftungsgitter im wesentlichen nahtlos an den oberen Rand der dunkel gefärbten Herdtür an und besitzt die gleiche Färbung wie die Herdtür, sodaß eine Verschmutzung nicht auffällt und Herdtür und Lüftungsgitter eine visuelle Einheit bilden.
