[origin: EP0355634A1] There are sealing problems in an electric switch (10) whose actuation plunger (16) passes through a casing wall (15) and is held firmly against the casing wall here by a flexible cap (25) via an annular body. In order to rectify this, it is proposed to employ for holding the cap a conical ring (30) which is made of a resilient material and can be flipped over. First of all the conical ring is placed in a turning-out position above the cap and is held with its outer circumference in an opening of the casing wall. The coning of the ring is then moved, through a dead-centre position, to a turning-in position, in which the cap seam (27) is held pressed against the casing wall in a sealing manner. <IMAGE>
