[origin: WO8907214A1] Gearing comprises a flat driving part and a driven part. The driven part (2) is provided with a circular guiding groove (38) eccentric to the axis of rotation. The driven part (21-25) is provided on its front face facing the driving part with an endless guiding groove (36) composed of sections centred on the axis of rotation for guiding the force-transmitting balls (11). A flange (6) secured to the housing and arranged between the driven part (21-25) and the driving part (2) is provided with a discretionary number of radial, elongated guiding slots (10) which cover the eccentric deviation of the ball-guiding groove (38) of the driving part (2) and which prevent rotation of the balls (11) about the axis of rotation of the gearing. In multiple-speed gearings, a number of driving discs (21-25) corresponding to the number of gears are traversed by a hollow shaft (26) containing ball cages for receiving balls (21a-25a) which can be disengaged from the corresponding driven part. Cam ridges (21b-24b) in said shaft guide a cam slide (27) whose axial movement secures a driving disk to the hollow shaft (26) so as to remain fixed during rotation.

Un engrenage comprend une partie plane motrice et une partie menée. La partie motrice (2) est pourvue d'une rainure de guidage (38) circulaire et excentrique par rapport à l'axe de rotation. La partie menée (21-25) est pourvue sur sa face frontale tournée vers la partie motrice d'une rainure sans fin de guidage (36) composée de sections centrées par rapport à l'axe de rotation et qui sert à guider des billes (11) de transmission de force. Une bride (6) fixée au boîtier et agencée entre la partie menée (21-25) et la partie motrice (2) est pourvue d'un nombre voulu de fentes allongées radiales (10) de guidage qui recouvrent l'excursion excentrique de la rainure (38) de guidage des billes ménagée dans la partie motrice (2), ces fentes servant à empêcher les billes (11) de tourner autour de l'axe de rotation de l'engrenage. Dans des engrenages à plusieurs vitesses, un nombre de disques de sortie (21-25) correspondant au nombre de vitesses sont traversés par un arbre creux (26) qui contient des cages à billes qui reçoivent les billes débrayables (21a-25a) de la partie menée correspondante et dans lequel des bourrelets (21b-24b) guident un poussoir à came (27) qui, lorsqu'il se déplace axialement, fixe un disque de sortie à l'arbre creux (26).
