Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0356611A2] Radiation apparatuses are known, in particular for curing photopolymerisable plastics on fingernails, having a radiation space, in which one or more radiation lamps are arranged, and having a ventilator for ventilating the radiation space, the ventilator being arranged in a region of the housing separated from the radiation space. In order to specify a radiation apparatus, in particular for the radiation of artificial fingernails, in which an adequate forced ventilation of the radiation space is achieved independently of the position of the ventilator in the housing and independently of the flow paths whilst retaining a compact construction, an air distribution space is provided between the radiation space and the suction or pressure side of the ventilator, which air distribution space is separated from the radiation space by a wall with air passage openings, the cross-sectional surface for the air passage to the air treatment space being greater with an increasing distance from the suction or pressure side of the ventilator.
