Method and device for righting a package comprising an integral cardboard blank or the like, having a bottom section and two side walls which are connected to each other by sealing edge strips, there being a plurality of processing steps in which the bottom section is shaped, the side and end walls are folded in, and sealing edge strips are connected to each other. The sealing edge strips are then applied to the package in precisely the manner of downward-projecting gusset areas and fixed there. <IMAGE>

Verfahren und Vorrichtung zum Aufrichten einer Verpackung aus einem einteiligen Kartonzuschnitt od.dgl., mit einem Bodenabschnitt und zwei Seitenwänden, die durch Siegelrandstreifen miteinander verbunden werden, wobei in mehreren Bearbeitungsstufen der Bodenabschnitt angeformt, die Seiten- und Stirnwände eingefaltet und Siegelrandstreifen miteinander verbunden werden. Die Siegelrandstreifen werden dann genauso wie nach unten abstehende Zwickelflächen an die Verpackung angelegt und dort fixiert.
