Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0356916A2] The points comprise a frog which can be pivoted about an axis lying in the plane of the rail. The effect of the pivoting is to switch the points between a straight rail section and at least one curved section which is angularly offset relative to the axis. In this arrangement, the straight section extends in the manner of a chord between the beginning and the end of the curved section(s). The frog is pivotable and the axis is aligned at a predetermined angle relative to the straight section (11). <IMAGE>
